On 9/11 I watched a CNN special called “Shine A Light.” The show was in memory of the World Trade Center disaster, where more than 3000 people lost their lives. The show was filled with memories, messages and entertainment. I wondered about the theme and tried to understand how we, all people, can shine a light to make this world a better place.
I ruminated on the title and concentrated on what else I could do to brighten my light. I decided to go to my contact list and reach out to a number of friends to have a conversation on what we can each do to make a difference in life and in the world.
How can you shine a light?
You can be kinder to yourself and each other - be a good neighbour.
You can hold on to hope and share your power.
You can do a good deed for yourself.
The world would be a better place if each of us contribute to change.

Put a battery in your torch and keep your light bright!
